At a customer site we receive errors when users are trying to create my sites. The following error appears: “There has been an error creating the personal site. Contact your site administrator for more information.”
Finally I found a hotfix which would certainly solve this issue. This hotfix can be found in kb937207. There are no prerequisites in the article is only apply to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. No version number like 6318 or SP1 or Infrastructure Update. Can’t be easier I thought.
After executing the hotfix the following message appeared.
So this hotfix can not be applied any more because the version of SharePoint is not the one that is expected. Infrastructure Update is already installed on that farm. But Service Pack 1 or the Infrastructure Update have not solved the issue?!?!?! What else to do?
I’ll continue searching for a solution. If you have one please let me know.
