Today I tried to install SSRS 2005 at the Windows Server 2008 server of a client but the option for Reporting Services was greyed out. After some research on the internet I found an article by Jim Hlavin to make this work.

Look here for the solution.

Edit:
After following the solution in Jims post it still did not work. In a comment on Jims post I saw a link to a Microsoft kb article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938245/). It worked for me to additionally install HTTP redirection. After that the Reporting Services option was available.
