Today I had to compare to CSS files. One of the test SharePoint farm and one of the production SharePoint farm. I found a nice free tool for this on the internet.
It is called DiffMerge and can be found here. See a screenshot below.

On the site of Heather Solomon I was looking for customizing the Site Actions drop down but was not able to find it. I searched the internet and found the blog of Eric Swenson about designing SharePoint drop donws. This helped me out.
